There are times when less is more. Setting tiles on diagonal, clipping the corners, and installing glass mosaic dots creates this simple elegance.

To accentuate the movement in this stone mosaic a rectangular border was cut to mimic the motion.

Niches and seats are two items that are becoming more commonplace in today's showers.  Once again, please note the size, shape and placement.

BATHROOM SUITE

The small rectangular wall tile (aka "subway tile") could have been seen in Paris, London or New York in the 1800's. Today, these tiles come in a variety of stone, porcelain and hand-molded ceramics.   Note the skirting base, molded crowns and curbless shower.

FALLING LIVE EDGE DETAIL

A color-through porcelain was chosen so that the falling live edge could be bullnosed. A feminine curved design complements the etched glass splash panel.

    MOORISH BATH

Supporting a Moorish theme, a canopy was built above the shower, an Islamic arched niche strategically placed, use of "undulating desert sand" floor tiles and patterned accent wall tiles finish this luxury bath.

WOOD STOVE HEARTH

A large formatted, metallic hued, porcelain tile was used to create this contemporary wood stove surround and hearth.

WALK-IN SHOWER

A timeless look was achieved pairing an English, white ceramic wall tile with a muted Jade green porcelain floor tile and a glass block wall, seat and vanity capped with Carrara marble.
